PUBLICATION REQUIREMENTS

THE RULES FOR SENDING AND PUBLISHING SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES 

The manuscripts for publication are accepted in five groups: Transport. Transport and technological machines; Construction. Building materials and products; Mathematical modeling. Computer-aided engineering systems; Economics and management.

The manuscript should be original, not be published before in other printed editions, written in the context of modern literature, has a novelty and correspond to the journal’s profile. The author is responsible for the authenticity of information, accuracy of citation and references to official documents and other sources. The editors accept obligation to limit the circle of persons having access to the manuscript sent to the editorial office by employees of the editorial office, members of the editorial board and reviewers of the paper.

  1. Title. The universal decimal classification index (UDC) is put (10 pt) in the upper left corner of the first page; further, in the center the article’s title is printed by capital letters in a boldface font of 12 pt size, below by normal font (12 pt.) – initials, name of the author, place of work, city and country.

The title of an author’s material, incoming to the editorial office, in Russian and English languages, should be appropriate to its content and be brief as much as possible.

  1. Abstract. The article should have an expanded abstract (no less than 500 symbols) in Russian and English languages. It is begun with the word “Abstract” with a capital letter (bold print, italic type, 10 pt.); point; then a text with a capital letter (italic, 10 pt.).

The abstract should not contain references to sections, formulas, figures and quotes from literature. (Annex 1).

  1. Keywords are put after abstract in Russian and English languages (no more than 5 semantic units).
  2. The content of the scientific (practical) article should include:

— introduction, where the author substantiates the relevance of the topic and appropriateness of its development, determines the purpose and objectives of the research;

— the main body of the article, divided into titled parts where the author, on the basis of information’s analysis and synthesis, describes the processes and methods of a problem research and the theme’s development, shows the results of a conducted research;

— conclusion, where the author makes conclusions, provides recommendations, describes the research results, containing scientific novelty, specifies the possible directions of further studies.

The references to the information sources are obligatory in the text and presented by numbers, included in square brackets (e.g. [1]). The bibliographic descriptions are presented according to State Standard (GOST) 7.1-2003 and thoroughly checked. If the reference to the information source is repeated in the article, it is enough to specify just its number from the bibliographic list in square brackets (without using next sequence number in bibliographic list and reference “ibidem”). When the reference is directed to various materials from the one source, there should be specified the number of page in square brackets, e.g.  [1, p. 17] or [1, p. 28–29].

  1. Bibliographic list is printed in the center below the body text and a numbered list of sources is placed in a line in the order of references over the text. The advisable number of references in the bibliographic list for the article with a volume of 5-7 pages should be no less than 8. The absence of unreasonable self citation: the percent of references to articles of the manuscript’s author should not exceed 25 % of the total number (Annex 2).
  2. Bibliographic list in Roman letters (References) (Annex 3).
  3. Information about authors(in Russian  / English language). The work places of all authors, their job positions and contact information (e-mail should be presented, if available)) (Annex 4).

The guidelines for preparing a manuscript:

The volume of a manuscript should be no less than 5 pages and should not exceed 7 pages, including tables and graphic material. The manuscript should contain no more than 5 figures and (or) 5 tables. The number of authors should not exceed 4. А4 format, «Arial» font (10 pt), first line indent – 0,6 cm, single line spacing.

Margins: head – 3,5 cm, the rest –2,5 cm.

The main body of the manuscript should be typed with 10 pt font.

All abbreviations, when they are used first time, should be completely decrypted, excepting conventional terms and mathematical values.

The information about grants is presented in a form of the reference in the end of the first page of the article.

The formulas should be typed in the equation editor – Microsoft Equation. The formulas’ transfer is permitted on the “plus” and “minus” signs, less commonly on the multiplication symbol. These symbols are repeated in the beginning and in the end of the transfer.  The formulas should be numbered (continuous numbering with Arabic numerals over the whole work). The number of the formula should be included in the round brackets near the right edge of the page.

The figures, schemes, graphics are presented in electronic format, as included in a text, in standard graphical formats with obligatory  picture captions and separate files with JPEG, GIF, BMP extension. They should be numbered (Table 1 – Title, Fig. 1. Title), titled (tables should have titles, left alignment, and illustrations – picture captions, center alignment). The figures and pictures should be clear and distinct, with developed details, considering their subsequent diminution. If the author presents color figures he should previously check its quality with black-and-white printing.

The tables are presented in Word editing program.

Scanned versions of figures, schemes, tables and formulas are not allowed.

The author should present the following materials to the editorial office:

— the manuscript in Russian language in electronic and hard copy( Microsoft Office Word 2003 editing program –  «Arial» font (10 pt), first line indent 0,6 cm, single line spacing, with the authors’ sign  and phrase: «the article is published first time» and date;

— registration form of the author: surname, name, patronymic (full), academic degree, academic status, job position, name of organization, business address, phone number, e-mail (Annex 5);

— the review of a specialist with an academic degree according to the theme of a reviewed material. The review should be certified in the personnel department of the organization, where the reviewer works (Annex 6);

— expert opinion on the possibility of publication in the open press (Annex 7);

— license agreement between FSBEI HE “SibADI” and authors (Annex 8);

— information on status / place of study (if the author is a postgraduate student).

The decision on acceptance to publication or rejection of the manuscript is made by editorial board.

The editors send to the authors of the article, which requires revision, a letter with notices. The revised article should be presented to the editorial office no later than within two weeks. The authors’ letter, containing answers to all notices and specifying all changes made in the article, should be enclosed to the revised article.

Only one article of the author is accepted for publishing in one issue.

The editors have the right to make literature revision and materials’ correction according to requirements of modern Russian language and the edition’s style without author’s agreement. In case of more serious editing the correction is agreed with the author or the article is sent to the author for revision.

The files’ title should be as follows: “Article_Ivanov_AP”, “Figures_Ivanov_AP”, “RF_Ivanov_AP”

The articles, sent to the editorial office, which do not correspond to abovementioned guidelines, are not published.

 The materials received by the editorial office are not sent back.

The fees are not paid.

The articles of postgraduate students are published for free.
