Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory database of the American publishing house – Bowker, is a larger database of scientific journals, which enumerates more than 200 thousands journals and describes the world traffic of serial (periodical and continuing) editions. It is actively used by research institutions for searching and analyzing world traffic of serial editions.

eLIBRARY.RU — the largest electronic library of research publications in Russia, which is rich in opportunities for searching and obtaining information. The library is integrated with Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) — created on demand of the Russian Ministry of education and science as a free of charge and public instrument for measuring and analyzing publication activity of scientists and organizations.

The eLIBRARY.RU platform was created in 1999 at the initiative of the Russian Foundation of fundamental research for ensuring electronic access to the leading foreign scientific editions for Russian scientists.  Since 2005, eLIBRARY.RU has begun to work with Russian-language publications and now it is leading electronic library of scientific Russian periodicals in the world. For today, the subscribers of eLIBRARY.RU have the access to full-text versions of 4000 foreign and 3900 Russian scientific journals, almost 20 000 journals with articles’ abstracts and descriptions of 1,5 million of foreign and Russian theses.
